The Village supports its business community. Business tax rates are low and have decreased four successive years. The community’s infrastructure is kept in excellent condition. Council supports development of a new Community Resource Centre, improvements to the Parks system and development of a community and regional trails system.

The Village is a member of the Similkameen Valley Planning Society, which employs an Economic Development Officer for the Village. Our EDO assists new businesses looking to locate in Keremeos and existing businesses that wish to expand. Assistance includes:

• Information about the regional economy and demography
• Selecting a site for location
• Obtaining necessary permits and licenses
• Network development and services/goods sources
• Marketing partnerships, especially in the tourism sector
• Filming in the Similkameen Valley
