Basic Services
Residents of Keremeos have access to the following basic services:

• Most of the Village is connected to the sewage treatment facility.  Some homes still use septic tanks.
• Fortis Inc. provides electricity.
• Teresan BC Gas provides natural gas.
• The Village or Keremeos Irrigation District distributes water. Both systems are well water and do not require chemical treatment.
• Telus BC provides phone and internet services.
• China Creek Internet provides high speed internet access.

Health Center

The South Similkameen Health Center was opened in March 2001. This was the first such center in BC that provided a multitude of services in the same building. The Health Center includes acute emergency services, doctor's offices, lab, X-ray, physio, chiropractic, public health, mental health, drug and alcohol counseling, social work services, home support and long-term care/home care services as well as a Diabetic Nurse specialist and a Dietician. Community Services including meals on wheels is also housed in this building. The South Similkameen Health Center also includes Orchard Haven, a 25 bed multilevel care facility which provides 24 hour complex care as well as respite and palliative services. In November of 2005 a 14 bed Assisted Living Complex opened adjacent to the care facility.

Transportation

Greyhound bus provides daily service east and west.  There are daily flights to Vancouver and Calgary from the Penticton Regional Airport (50 km distant).  There is also a mini bus available Monday and Wednesdays for trips to Penticton at a reasonable cost.

Commerce

The Village's commercial area is contained in approximately 3 blocks with a large grocery store, bank and credit union, florist and gift shop, Sears catalogue sales, pharmacy, building supply, hardware, feed store, cafes and licenced restaurants, hotel, two pubs with licenced premises, coin laundromat, thrift store, antique stores, beauty shops, insurance and real estate offices, lawyers, accountants, business centre with Internet connections and many fruit stands offering quality local fruits and vegetables.
