New family physician is coming to Keremeos in July

The community of Keremeos is delighted to announce the arrival of Dr. Josh Webb, a new full-time physician, who will be taking over care for Dr. Johan Boshoff’s patients, starting in July 2018. As many in the community will remember, Dr. Boshoff moved from Keremeos during the summer of 2017.

Dr. Webb, originally from Halifax, is currently completing his family medicine residency in Kelowna. He has lived in many parts of Canada, including Nunavut, and in other locations around the world including Kenya, St. Lucia, Austria and the United Kingdom. He will be relocating to Keremeos with his wife, and their German Shepherd.

Until Dr. Webb arrives at the clinic, locum physicians will continue to provide coverage for Dr. Boshoff’s former patients. However, the clinic has a few dates leading up to July that do not have locum coverage for these patients. We ask for the public’s understanding while we attempt to secure coverage for those days, and during the transition to Dr. Webb’s arrival at the clinic.

Currently, the clinic is staffed by three other full-time physicians. Dr. Boshoff’s former patients are kindly reminded that during this time of transition, transfer requests to these physicians cannot be accommodated.

“We are looking forward to Dr. Webb joining our clinic and community in July,” says Dr. Marina Louw. “I’m sure the community will assist us in welcoming him and helping him make Keremeos feel like home.”
