The Village of Keremeos has undertaken a three-stage Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) to ensure continued protection of public health and the environment through proper management of wastewater discharges in the community.

Village staff and engineers will be available to answer questions about the final report for the LWMP:

Similkameen Sizzle Pepperfest!

Canada’s only hot pepper festival the Similkameen Sizzle celebrates its 18th annual event this year.

Things start on  September 20th, Friday night, from 6 to 10 pm with a dance at Memorial Park in Keremeos. Bring the gang and dance the night away! Admission is free and there are food vendors on site.

On Saturday, September 21st, things start to heat up at 8 am with the pancake breakfast organized by the Elk’s Lodge. The annual Chili Cook Off starts at 11 am with the hot pepper eating contest at 4 pm. Don’t miss the hot sauce and pepper preserve tasting contest either!

Lots of vendors selling pepper included/themed goodies. Food, local wines and ciders, a bouncy castle, a wellness tent, raffles and a 50/50 draw.

Beverage garden on both days!

Join the fun in Keremeos, the heart of the Valley and prepare your taste buds, things are about to get SPICY!
