Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial services for the Village. They oversee the investment of municipal funds, the expenditure of the Village’s money and ensure that accurate records and full accounts of the Village’s financial affairs are prepared and maintained. They develop short and long range financial forecasts and plans, supervise financial employees and oversees the financial information systems.

The CFO works with the Council and the CAO on the annual budget process and development of the Five-Year Financial Plan. Part of this process is the presentation to Council of varying options regarding property tax rates and user fees for the upcoming year.

The Village also maintains financial transparency through annual audits. Every year, external auditors examine the financial system and annual statements, and report their findings to Council.
