STAGE TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

In response to the Province moving the drought status for the Similkameen to LEVEL 4, the Board of Trustees of the Keremeos Irrigation District have implemented STAGE TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

In addition to Stage One, customers are permitted to water ONLY between the hours of 7 AM until 10 AM & 7 PM until 10 PM on their designated odd/even day.

Customers who have automatic underground systems are permitted to water ONLY between the hours of 12 AM until 6 AM on their designated odd/even day.

Keremeos Transfer Station closed

Due to an unforeseen operational issue, the Keremeos Transfer Station is closed until further notice.  

Customers are asked to avoid the site at this time to allow crews to conduct operations.

Every Child Matters Crosswalk unveiling ceremony

At 9:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2023, the Keremeos Every Child Matters crosswalk will be unveiled between the Memorial Park playground and the Keremeos municipal hall. Keremeos Mayor and Council have been honoured to work with the Lower Similkameen Indian Band on this important reconciliation initiative.

To help convey the deep meaning of the event, the following list of terms and their meanings has been prepared by the Lower Similkameen Indian Band, and may be reviewed here.
