Fortis BC Energy Conservation Assistance Program

Fortis BC is offering FREE home energy assessments and the installation of energy-saving products to residents of Keremeos for a limited time.  This program is administered by It's On Electric Company.

An energy coach will conduct an energy assessment of your home, install energy saving products for free, and provide you with advice and tips, saving you money and increasing the comfort of your home.

Radon Test Kit Challenge

The Village of Keremeos is participating in the 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge and will have 100 free Radon Testing Kits to provide to registered participants in the upcoming weeks.

To receive your free kit, use the following link https://form.jotform.com/222925009408252 to register. After registering, you will receive an email with a link to an online Zoom information session (Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 7:00pm) regarding the 100 day testing period and how to use the testing kit.

Following the information session, registered participants will be notified when the Radon Test Kits are available for pickup.

Category 2 open burning

The Kamloops Fire Centre has announced that, as a result of decreased temperatures, higher relative humidities, and good overnight recoveries, Category 2 Open Burning will be permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre effective at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Category 3 open fires remain prohibited until noon on Oct. 13, 2023, or until the order is rescinded.

Keremeos residents are advised to check Keremeos Fire regulations and updated Kamloops Fire Centre prohibitions before any open burning.
