Working at the Election

The Village will be hiring election workers for election day (Saturday, October 17, 2026) and advance voting day (Wednesday, October 7, 2026). 

Applications will be accepted from July 23 to August 20th.  

Employment requirements:

• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Must attend mandatory training session on September 23rd, from 6pm to 8pm.
• Must not be related to or involved with a candidate or campaign in any way.
• Must be available to work 7:30am to 8:00pm, with limited breaks, on October 7^th and October 17^th.  Some workers will be asked to stay later on October 17^th to assist with the ballot count.
• Previous election experience will be considered an asset.
• Desired attributes include accuracy in handling information, astuteness in monitoring compliance in the poll, good communication skills, and legible penmanship.
• Knowledge of Keremeos addresses and fluency in a language other than English will be asset.
