Declaration of Election Results

Pursuant to Section 146 of the Local Government Act, the Chief Election Officer has declared the Offical Election Results for the 2022 General Local Elections as follows:

"I, Marg Coulson, Chief Election Officer, do hereby declare elected JASON WIEBE, who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Mayor.

Dated at Keremeos, BC this 19th day of October, 2022"

A general local election was held in Keremeos today, October 15, 2022, and voting concluded at 8:00 pm. As Councillors were elected by acclamation, the voting was for the position of Mayor only.

Advance voting numbers

The October 5, 2022 advance voting was well-attended, with a preliminary count of 167 ballots cast for Mayoral candidates. Additionally, 16 mail ballots have been returned to date.

General voting day takes place on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Victory Hall, 427-7th Avenue, Keremeos, 8 am to 8 pm.
